Select edible oils down on increased supplies

New Delhi, Oct 1 (PTI) Select edible oils, palmolein andsoyabean, fell in the range of Rs 20-100 per quintal in thenational capital today following increased supplies amidstreduced offtake by stockists and retailers. Palmolein (RBD) oil shed Rs 20 at Rs 4,830 per quintal,soyabean refined mill delivery oil lost Rs 50 to Rs 5,900 perquintal, while sesame mill delivery oil dropped by Rs 100to Rs6,700 per quintal. Marketmen attributed fall in select edible oil prices toincreased supplies in the market. They said absence of demand from neighbouring states tooweighed on the prices. Following were today's quotations in Rs quintal: Oilseeds: mustard seed 2950-3050 and Groundnut seed2,750-3,000. Vanaspati ghee (15 litres tin) 790-850. Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery 5,900, GroundnutSolvent refined (per tin) 1,120-1,170, Mustard Expeller 6,720,Mustard Pakki ghani (per tin) 735-900, Mustard kachi ghani(per tin) 900-975, Sunflower 6,500, Sesame mill delivery6,700, Soybean Refined mill delivery 5,900, Soyabean degum(Delhi) 5,700, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-kandla) 3,500, Cottonseedmill delivery 5,200, palmolein (RBD) 4,830, Rice bran (phy)4,200 and coconut (per tin) 1,120-1,130. Non-edible oils: linseed 5,000 Mahuwa 4,350, castor7,100-7,200, Neem 4,000-4,100, Rice bran 3,850-4,000 and palmfatty 3,125-3,200.
