Sugar prices up on festive demand

New Delhi, Oct 14 (PTI) Sugar prices today shot up byRs 50 per quintal in the national capital on increased demandfrom retailers and bulk consumers in view of festive season. Sugar ready medium and second grade prices jumped up byRs 50 each to Rs 1,950-2,025 and Rs 1,925-1,990 per quintal,respectively, on strong demand due to the festive season. Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal: Sugar ready M-30 1950-2025 and S-30 1925-1990. Mill delivery M-30 1700-1915 and S-30 1690-1890.
