MUMBAI: (PTI) Small sugar prices eased on the Vashi Wholesale Market here today in the absence of demand from retailers amidst good supplies from mills.
However, Medium-sugar displayed a mixed trend due to uneven demand and supply transactions. Small sugar quality (S-30) moved down by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 1,950/1,985 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 1,954/1,985.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) was quoted at Rs 1,960/2,050 per quintal as against Rs 1,974/2,045 previously.
Following are today's closing rates per quintal with previous rates in brackets.
Small sugar(S-30) quality Rs 1950/1985 (Rs 1954/1985) and Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 1960/2050 (Rs 1974/2045).
