Basmati rice up on exporters demand
New Delhi, Oct 14 (PTI) Basmati rice prices today rose byRs 100 per quintal in the national capital on increased exportdemand. In the rice section, basmati common on the gained Rs 100at Rs 6,500-6,700 per quintal on the back of a pick-up inexport demand. Traders said fresh demand from exporters and domestictraders in view of the marriage season mainly contributed tothe rise in basmati (common) prices. Following were today's quotations per quintal in Rs: Wheat MP (deshi) 1,300-1,575 wheat dara (for mills)1,075-1,150, chakki atta (delivery) 1,060-1,075, Chakki attaRajdhani (10 kg)145, shakti bhog (10 kg) 150, roller flourmill 1,100-1,105, maida 1,150-1,170 (90 kilos) and sooji1,215-1,230 (90 kg). Rice basmati (lal quila) 9,000, Shri Lal Mahal 9,000,Super basmati rice 8,900, Basmati common 6,500-6,700, Permalraw 1,350-1,450, permal wand 1,575-1725, sela 1,820-1,970 andrice IR-8 1,220-1,420, Bajra 725-745, Jowar yellow 780-810,white 1265-1330, Maize 715-780, Barley (UP) 1,100-1,130 andRajasthan 1110-1120.
