Indore, August 7, 2008! The Export of Soybean Meal during July’08 was 2,84,990 MT as against 75,862 MT during the same period last year showing a quantum jump of 275.67% over the last year.
During the month Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan and Malaysia were the major destinations for Indian Soy meal exports. Indian Exports to Indonesia during July’08 increased almost 7 times when compared with exports during July’07 while Exports to Japan were placed 2 ½ time more during the same period.
The Exports during the period April’08 to July’08 was 13,83,303 MT as compared to 4,93,424 MT during the same period last year registering a growth of 180.35%.
The Export of Soybean meal during the Oil year (October – September) basis shows again a good performance by the trade. The Exports during the period October’07 to July’08 was 46,07,222 MT as compared to 32,55,692 MT registering a 41.51% growth over the same period last year.
