Major importer of Indian cotton during the week was Pakistan and India majorly sourced cotton from Australia during the week. According to the data released by IBIS, Pakistan imported 1.35 lakh bales of cotton in the past week that is 21 Dec to 27 Dec 2015. Other major importers were Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia and China and their imported volumes were 1.00 lakh bales, 0.57 lakh bales, 0.29 lakh bales and 0.18 lakh bales respectively.
