India Is Likely to Export 10% down Coffee Beans in 2014/15-The Coffee Exporters Association Of India



As per the Coffee Exporters Association of India, India may export total 270,000 tonnes in 2014/15 in marketing year lower by 10% against previous year exports on account of lower Arabica output. India has exported total 75,179 tonnes of coffee since the start of the latest season on October 1,2014 with a significant fall of 13% against the record of previous year. Total exports of India in 2013/14 is recorded at 303,290 tonnes. In the view of Rajesh Rajah, the president of the Coffee Exporters Association of India, coffee export may fall  by 10 to 12% to 90,000 tonnes this season 2014/15 due to lower Arabica output which is damaged by the stem borer pest and dry weather.
