Pakistan has surpassed Bangladesh and China being the largest cotton importer from India during the week. According to the data released by IBIS, Pakistan imported 1.82 lakh bales of cotton in the past week that is 14 Dec to 20 Dec 2015. Other major importers were Bangladesh, Vietnam, China and Indonesia and their imported volumes were 0.87 lakh bales, 0.54 lakh bales, 0.23 lakh bales and 0.20 lakh bales respectively.
